Data Retention Policy

All generated video assets and uploaded customer workspace materials (product images, audio, brand assets, and reference frames) are retained for a maximum of seven (7) days — 168 hours — measured from the moment of generation or upload.

This ceiling is global and non-negotiable. Every asset displays a live countdown to its deletion time in your gallery.

Retention is enforced in three independent layers so that no single failure can extend it:

• Application metadata: each asset carries a purge timestamp set to its creation time plus 168 hours.
• Automated purge engine: a scheduled worker runs every 24 hours and permanently deletes both the stored binaries and the corresponding database records for any expired asset.
• Object-store lifecycle rule: the storage bucket independently expires tagged objects at 7 days, even if the application worker is unavailable.

On expiry, the following are permanently and irreversibly removed:

• Rendered video files and thumbnails in object storage.
• All uploaded source assets associated with the generation.
• Database metadata describing the asset, including titles, prompts, and render configuration.

Transactional records required for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance — such as credit ledger entries, fraud signals, and moderation audit logs — are retained under their own schedules. These are not video binaries and do not contain your rendered content.

Because deletion is automatic and irreversible, you are responsible for downloading any videos you wish to keep before their purge time. VidForgeAI is not liable for assets not downloaded before expiry.

Deleting your account performs a deep scrub: all video and image binaries are erased from object storage and associated metadata records are removed immediately, ahead of the normal 7-day schedule.
